Daughter of the Dreaming, clad in silk-and-silver splendour
Skin as soft as snowfall and a love-knot in her hair
Eyes that gleam like diamonds and a mouth that whispers secrets
Who’d resist temptation when temptation’s oh-so-fair?
Daughter of the Dreaming, wreathed in smoke and veiled in shadow
Scented like a spicebox from a Eastern town’s bazaar
Decked and ringed and gilded like a princess in a fable
Daughter of the Dreaming, shining bright as any star
Daughter of the Dreaming, reaching out across the table
Holding sweet temptation like a bird upon her palm
Who’d contest the offer when the offer’s so alluring?
Daughter of the Dreaming, plying poison dressed as balm
Lover of the Dreaming, waking bleary in the morning
Lover of the Dreaming, tumbled naked in a bed
Losing every evening to the Daughter of the Dreaming
Craving sweet temptation when the Dreaming’s all but fled
Daughter of the Dreaming, coiled in Smoke and dressed in poison
Skin as cold as snowfall and a hangknot in her hair
Eyes that gleam like daggers and a mouth that whispers secrets
Who’d resist temptation when temptation’s oh-so-fair?
