No new Silver in the Ashes chapter this week – updates will hopefully resume by the end of the month.

So back when the last chapter of Blood on the Snow went up, I posted a wee explainer of where we were with chapters for the series as a whole, including a mention of a possible hiatus in early May because that’s when my chapter buffer would run out.

Lo and behold, it has in fact run out – and, between my day job, disability stuff, and some fun and exciting burnout-esque symptoms, I’ve not been able to refill it in time to keep that hiatus from happening.

That’s the bad news. The good news is that I’m off work for ten days starting yesterday, and my plan for this week coming up is (once I’ve relaxed a bit) to spend a fair amount of it writing. I’ve still got keen for the story, and I know where it’s (probably) going from here, so this is mostly a case of getting the words to line up with the pictures I have in my head.

I want to take this chance to say a massive thank you to all my readers. Whether you’ve just jumped on board or you’ve been following the story since the beginning, it’s a pleasure to have you along for the ride – and, honestly, it means the absolute bloody world that there are folks other than me who care about this story.

So sit tight, we’ll be back before you know it (I hope).
